The 80's

The 80s is the story of the 32 of Turkey from the beginning of 80s to today. This sit-com tells us the differences in Turkey and the affects of the new technologies and understandings to our life through the eyes of a classical Turkish family.

The 80s is a nostalgia comedy show which aims to remind the young generation the humanistic values we believe we have been losing fast during the last decades. This show has gathered great audience since it was aired at TRT 1 (Turkish National Broadcasting Company – TV Channel 1). It is loved and watched by both the middle-aged Turks who actually lived those years and by the young who want to know more about the recent past of the nation. Most of the young audiences see certain features of those years like tape cassettes, black-and-white TVs, Lego toys, jogging courses, sending letters in stamped envelopes and many games children would play in the streets etc.
